A couple of weeks ago, we had the privilege, as we have had for the last three years, of hosting a wonderful string ensemble called The Magesterra Soloists. Always a favourite with our students, this group of performers brings an understanding and appreciation of chamber music to their young audience. The music, though wonderful, is not the best part of the visit for me. The best part for me is that I get to chat with the young violinist who was once my student over 20 years ago! This year was particularly bittersweet because not only did I get to spend time with this young woman, but I also had the pleasure of hosting a concurrent education student who was with me over 15 years ago!

As a young, inexperienced Montessori teacher, I would have never dreamed that this is where I would be 30 years later. It is truly a pleasure to be able to learn and share with these two successful, intelligent women, and to know that just maybe, I had a small part in moulding who they are today.
