Bayside Montessori School

Bayside Montessori School is a private preschool and kindergarten in Kingston, Ontario. Founded as a Montessori school in 1989, Bayside Montessori School provides its students with the highest caliber of education. The Montessori classroom is a designed environment where children work together or individually with multi-sensory materials that invite them to touch, think, and experience.

Our school has made the commitment to develop an outstanding and internationally accredited Montessori academic program from the preschool age of 3 years through the senior kindergarten level.

The Montessori Difference

“For four years we have attended Bayside Montessori, and each day we are so thankful for the calming, enriching and encouraging environment provided for our daughters. Bayside Montessori has become an extension of our family. The staff are thoughtful and fully involved in all aspects of our daughter’s development including social skills, language, physical health and of course their academic achievement.

The greatest value from the Bayside Montessori program has not only been the knowledge gained, but more so the enjoyment of independent learning that we continue see in our children both inside and outside of the classroom. We are so grateful for this as it will serve them very well in their lives. It is a true gift to find someone else who will take care of your children the way you would, and to know, without question that they are in good hands; Bayside Montessori has provided us this and more. We look forward to two more years of being a part of the Bayside Montessori community and highly recommend it to everyone.”

Admission Guidelines

Enrolment preference will be given to families with a firm commitment to the Montessori philosophy and who intend to keep their child in our program for the full three-year cycle. An existing student will be offered the opportunity to make the first choice in enrolment. Once existing students are served, priority will go to siblings, alumni, and public wait list. The school reserves the right to adjust the enrolment placement of students at any time.

Classes are multi-aged, and Bayside Montessori School will make every reasonable effort to balance each class with respect to age and gender. Bayside Montessori School admits students of any race, colour, national and ethnic origin to all rights and privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It is the practice of Bayside Montessori School to offer enrolment to children with minor difficulties in speech or who speak a different language. Bayside Montessori can not offer services to children with special needs as we do not have the appropriate training or resources.
