March graphic with rainbow

Dear Bayside Parents,

Spring is in the air, but with March, there is no guarantee for how long! It is funny how a few nice days can bring about the anticipation of warmer weather and longer hours with sunlight. The children can sense it for sure. They all seem to have a little bounce in their step and they are busy.

We have only a few reminders for this month, starting with March Break! The school will be closed from Friday, March 10th through Friday, March 17th. We will see everyone again on Monday, March 20th. On Thursday, March 9th, we will be celebrating Pirate Day! The children are invited to come to school dressed as a pirate. We will be reading, one of my favourite books, Grandma and the Pirates. I believe Susan is going to make us some authentic Pirate Noodle Pudding.

For those of you who pay tuition by e-transfer, please do so on or before March 1st.

March can be really wet! Please ensure your child is dressed appropriately for outdoor play. Splash pants and rubber boots will be a good choice for keeping dry. Also, please include some extra pants and socks in your child’s change of clothing. And, speaking of clothing….March break is a great time to ensure extra changes of clothes still fit! Chances are very good that they don’t.
Just a shout-out to our little book exchange. I’ve read two good books from our bookshelf! Please check it out.

Kindly,
Melissa
